Just to check ! Yes it works, I'll be there to meet with me myself and I. And you, will you be there ? Come on ! I don't want to burden my carbon footprint for peanuts ! I don't mean to sell books, but to meet with readers or viewers : you guys are our only wealth ! Post me if you'll come. Seeya !
I know you're clicking on this page, as I receive your messages. So why don't you guys leave a comment here and start chatting with one another ? It's a blog and it can be alive only thanks to you. Come on, I'm waiting, share !
Alexandre, is the event open to the public? I went on their website and it doesn't look like the general public can go.
Let me know!
Oh, and I also posted reviews for your books on Amazon!
WAAAAOUUUWW there's somebody alive on the other side of the world ! In the outer World ! Steph you gave me the E.T. chill ! My word ! I'm quite positive it'll be open to the public, not the first day friday, but surely on saturday and sunday. Let me come back to you.
Steph, you're right and I'm disgusted. Here are the rates. http://www.bookexpoamerica.com/RNA/...
In short : 55 usd if you book in advance and 88 usd on the spot. I'm coming up with an idea, why don't we all meet in a café or starbucks outside the fair ? Please pitch some ideas of places and schedule, get all together. Ok ? (I'm not Matt but let's try something ! At least you wont have to dance but we'll have something to speak about !)
my best
Alex
I would love to meet you in NYC, I have read your 2 african books last year and enjoyed the wonderful adventures (& saw some of the PBS serie). I live in Washington, DC so the Big Apple is not too far. Let me know where and when (Sat. or Sunday will be best).
Au plaisir de se rencontrer,
ok great delphine, who's got an idea of where and when ?
Alexandre, It looks like there is a Starbucks inside the Javitz Center, we could try to meet there, unless you would rather meet somewhere closer to where you are staying in the city? Whatever is most convenient for you. My husband and I could meet any time after 1 pm on Saturday. Let me know!
Sorry stephanie, I'll be too busy on Saturday with interviews and co, so I suggest that we meet on Sunday, it could be one o'clock, please check if the starbucks is accessible without paying the entrance fee.
Ok Alex, I'm going to tell it to all my american friends on Facebook ;-)
And if you need more advice about facebook, or for your next book, just call Agnès in the Sky, great specialist in happiness!
Kisses!
Alex,
Sunday will work for us. I called the Jacob Javitz center about the Starbucks, and we could meet you there. It is a kiosk on the lowest level floor. Or we can meet at a Starbucks outside of the center. there are several within walking distance. Whichever you would prefer.
Stephanie
I think the one at lower level is safer : let's make it an appointment for anybody who wants to join. Looking forward. Alex
Okay. 1 PM at the Starbucks on the lower level of the Jacob Javitz Center. See you then!
Stephanie
il faut vraiment que je reprenne des cours d'anglais....
I hope to be able to make it if the bus/train doesn't break from DC, can't wait to meet you in person!
A dimanche prochain, enjoy the Book Expo!
Don't worry Fabienne, ils sont juste en train de se filer rencard dans un Starbuck café, et nous on ne pourra pas les rejoindre...;-)
Alex, let me know when you'll come in big Auvergne ! There's no Starbcuk but beautiful castles...let me be your guide!
it rains like in London here, and it`s depressing. Two meetings were canceled without notice. Poverty and misery are all over the place crawling into gutters, from Newark to New York. I crossed yesterday the path of the famous desperate lady with the stunning liquid blue eyes holding her two children tight under her arms and who became the iconic embodiment of 1929 crash. She was begging in the tube, with no children this time. Same emaciated face. Same reminder of the fragility of the whole thing. If I came only for that vision, it was worth it.
